Discounts with Shopify Subscriptions

Improvement

Junip is now the only major review platform to allow brands on Shopify to offer discount codes that work for both one-time purchases and subscriptions that take place Shopify’s checkout. Meaning regardless of type of purchase, your discount codes will simply work.

Note: this only applies to brands using the Shopify Checkout to power subscriptions.

Previously, all discount codes would only work for one-time purchases. We’re thrilled as of today, this is no longer the case!

Using the new discounts is simple:

  1. Head to Incentives: https://admin.juniphq.com/incentives
  2. Re-authentic to give Junip the new permissions we need
  3. Delete & recreate your existing incentive rules, this will allow all new discounts created to use Shopify’s new discounting engine

Share reviews everywhere (with pre-made formats for social)

New

So you got an amazing review & want to tell the world.

Until now, the only real option was to take a screenshot of the on-site view, moderation, or even the notification emails… while none of those options were all that great, many of you persevered & still shared!

We want to make this easy - so we've added a share option to the "review management" section of Junip: https://admin.juniphq.com/reviews

Whenever you click a review in Admin, you'll see an option both at the top of the screen & bottom right to "share":

Once you click "share" you'll see options to re-format based on the place you want to share. You'll also have the option to make some minor customizations.

Then it's as simple as hitting share (on mobile) or on desktop, downloading then sharing on your preferred platform!

Manual Review Links

New

We're introducing a new feature dubbed "Manual Review Links", accessible in Admin here: https://admin.juniphq.com/forms/review_links

Manual Review Links are a completely flexible method of gathering reviews from customers with endless possibilities - it's a little overwhelming to know how to use them! How they work is simple.

When a customer lands on the Review Link, they'll be prompted to complete a passwordless authentication (confirm their email). Once they've confirmed their email, all the reviews they're eligible to leave for all previous products purchased will display.

Over the coming weeks, we'll share more on https://junip.co/blog/ about different experiences being created with these, but we've already seen them used in Packaging Inserts, Account Pages, Subscription Portals & more. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to give us a shout!

Editing reviews

New

You can now offer customers the option to edit previously submitted reviews in Junip.

This is one of the most requested features to date & for good reason - if a customer has a bad experience & you fix it, they should be able to update their review.

Editing is live now, accessible in both "Review Management" (beside a review) as well as in the new "Manual Review Links" section of Admin: https://admin.juniphq.com/forms/review_links

If a customer visits that URL, they'll see all their previous reviews & be able to modify the content. Simple as that!

"Product Name" added to "Review Created" events

Improvement

We've added the name of the Product that was reviewed to the "Review Created" events that Junip sends to other services (Klaviyo etc).

This will allow more customization & logic in your other tools with review data!

Improved management for "Traits" and "Custom Questions"

Improvement

We've unified the "traits" and "custom questions" management sections of Admin, to all sit under "custom questions" here: https://admin.juniphq.com/forms/questions

This introduces the concept of "matching rules", so instead of one by one applying a question to each individual product - you can do it on mass.

CleanShot 2022-02-14 at 14.53.15.png

We will be making further improvements to matching rules & custom question management, so if you have ideas for other ways to match custom questions to products ("properties") please reach out to support@juniphq.com or stuart@juniphq.com with the subject line "CUSTOM QUESTION IDEAS".

Admin: Navigation fix when paging through reviews

Fix

Previously if you hit "back" after going into a review in "Reviews Management", you'd be returned to the start of your reviews list. We heard loud & clear this was frustrating if you were 4-5 (or more!) pages deep into your reviews:

CleanShot 2022-02-07 at 13.49.30.png

This now isn't the case! We'll remember what page you were on & when you hit "back" - you'll be returned to that location.

Unifying "sort" and "filter" options

Improvement

We made a small, but meaningful change to on-site displays that unify's the "sort", "filter" and "custom question" options under the general "Sort & Filter" view.

Previously, "Sort" was hanging out all on it's lonesome in the top righthand side - this improves the end customers experience when browsing your reviews.
